Overview

Our client has a global footprint delivering increasingly digital services to graduate program candidates and schools/universities around the world. Our client is seeking a a solid Systems Engineering/Administration candidate to help maintain and administer their existing infrastructure.

We are currently looking for a Microsoft Operations and Infrastructure Engineer. This is a hands on position for someone who can handle any and all infrastructure for:

• infrastructure development or support
  • Microsoft server
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • O365
  • SQL Server
  • Sharepoint
  • Azure - cloud infrastructure
  • Vmware
  • AWS
  • DNS
  • IIS
  • Active Directory
• Applications
  • O365
  • Okta
  • Jira (Atlassian suite)
  • FreshService

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or Systems; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft based infrastructure.
• Experience using cloud services, such as Microsoft Azure.
• Exceptional organizational, project planning, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong attention to detail, with a keen focus on quality.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Comfort with multi-tasking and organizing a variety of concurrent tasks, by applying strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in-office (Reston Virginia) and remotely according to our clients hybrid work environment.

This is a contract position. We are looking for candidates around $60-$70/hr. range. The expectation is for this to be anywhere from a 3-6 month engagement, with the possibility of conversation to being a full time employee of our client. Their offices are in Reston VA, and they are looking for a Hybrid model where you would come in 2 days/week.
