Job Summary (List Format):
- Provide ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and support for various business applications within the agency.
- Assist in preparing and documenting program requirements and technical specifications.
- Research and document software user requirements.
- Write, translate, and code software programs and applications based on provided specifications.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of user manuals and technical guidelines.
- Collaborate with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to resolve software issues.
- Mentor and guide junior programmers as needed.
- Utilize extensive experience with Oracle databases, including complex query writing and PL/SQL development.
- Perform database and SQL performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain applications using JavaScript frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, NodeJS, React, JQuery).
- Work with financial data, particularly related to accounting processes and internal controls.
- Apply knowledge of relational database design, database security, and UML.
- Use database query tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, or SQL Navigator.
- Employ continuous integration tools (preferably Jenkins) and code repositories (preferably Git).
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, judgement, and foresight in identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Effectively prioritize tasks and manage work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Communicate and collaborate efficiently with team members and stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
- Preferred: Possess Oracle certifications, accounting standards knowledge, experience with PHP, web development (XML/CSS), environmental regulatory processes, and familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban).
- Must be local and able to work onsite.
