Role: Data Modeler with Data Analysis

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Salary: Market Rate

Job Description:

  • Design and develop data models for modern data platforms.
  • Design , Create and Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with accurate metadata.
  • Design and create canonical data, dimensional models, including snowflake and star schemas.
  • Create source-to-target mappings.
  • Perform data profiling/analysis activities that help to establish, modify, and maintain data models.
  • Conduct data analysis to extract insights and support business decision making.
  • Develop, implement, and support the usage of data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Present and communicate modeling results and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate internationally with various stakeholders.
  • Communicate physical database designs and explain features that may affect the physical data model.
  • Regularly engage and consult stakeholders on solving business problems through data
  • Collaborate with data architects and engineers to implement data models in various database technologies (e.g., SQL, Snowflake, NOSQL).
  • Ensure data models support business requirements and are optimized for performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
  • Participate in data governance and data quality initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for data modeling and data analysis to other team members.
