Position Summary
The Equipment and Engine Attachment Systems Engineering Team is seeking a highly motivated individual to work with a dynamic team on a wide variety of exciting engineering projects. Specifically, the team is looking for an Analyst that will be responsible for product analysis that supports the design and development of aircraft engine mounts, auxiliary power unit mounts, isolators, engine attachment systems, and other innovative passive vibration isolation and motion control devices.
He/she will be focused on advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) projects, performing detailed stress, fatigue, and dynamic analyses on components and systems developed by the Equipment and Engine Attachment Team.

He/she will be focused on advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) projects, performing detailed stress, fatigue, and dynamic analyses on components and systems developed by the Equipment and Engine Attachment Team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze challenging finite element models utilizing a variety of materials such as metals, elastomers, and plastics.
- Completion and/or coordination of appropriate analyses (system, stress, fatigue, dynamic, etc.) to support design.
- Apply advanced engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
- Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts within Parker Lord.
- Continuous learning from and teaching of other team members.
- Understanding of aircraft certification requirements and means of compliance.
- Advanced data analysis and report generation.
- Lead multiple projects of various complexity.
- Self-initiate assignments.
- Represent our organization as prime technical contact on contracts and projects.
- Interact with senior external personnel on technical matters.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced personnel in technical development.
COMPETENCIES
REQUIRED
- An in-depth understanding of and experience with performing linear and non-linear FEAA
- A strong analytical background combined with solid hands-on experience to successfully develop a product from concept to production
- Excellent written and verbal skills with an ability to effectively communicate with most levels of the organization
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment and cultivate strong customer relationships
- Demonstrated ability to use sound engineering judgment
- History of implementing technical solutions to a wide range of challenging problems
- Ability to assess data to verify results are in specification
- Basic understanding of standard laboratory practices and quality system
- Ability to mentor less experienced team members
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to travel
REQUIRED
- 4+ years relevant industry experience
- Experience with ANSYS (or equivalent FEA software)
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent CAD software)
REQUIRED
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or other similar Engineering field
- Master of Science in related discipline
REQUIRED
- English
