Senior Presales Solution Architect - Cloud
REMOTE IN USA
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction across multiple teams or complex applications infrastructure.
- Analyze, design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
- Experience in architecting solution, leading Large bids, strong business & customer facing skills, industry connects, expertise in analyzing industry trends & creating solutions / frameworks that will help Sales to take to customers / prospects, ability to handle analysts
- Lead definition of the collaboration model in order to define overall frameworks and engagement models while developing deal specific solutions
- Lead creation & maintenance of frameworks for bid management, overall ideal solution, due diligence planning & execution, transition solution & execution in order to facilitate efficiency and consistency
- Work with the Sales team to identify win themes for the pursuit based on client objectives
- Proposal solution design including managed services model, with clear focus on delivering and articulating the value to the customer, Solution mapping across multiple towers and co-ordination with technology leads to ensure end-to-end solution build
- Need to own/ groom bid managers community and help build a strong bid solution team
- Review and/or analyze and develop architecture at domain level and across multiple teams.
- Participate in the business-wide Infrastructure architecture and domain governance model.
- Contribute to the development of Solution and technology frameworks. Contribute to the designs and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, TCO, security and regulatory compliance for different businesses.
- Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in customer s roadmap support and alignment activities to for multiple verticals or business units.
- Provide leadership, technology guidance and mentor others.
- Ability to coordinate efforts from multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to understand Pricing models and raise relevant red flags where applicable.
Basic Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- A minimum of 15+ years of relevant and combined professional experience in Data centers and Public Cloud infrastructure
- TOGAF Certified preferred
Technical Expertise
Desired Characteristics:
- Extensive technical breadth, through experience in the IT industry. This breadth should be in areas of IT infrastructure domain or managed infrastructure support services
- Should have managed/architected 5 large deals preferably multi tower deals (DC/EUC/Network/Security)
- Ability to align with Agile and waterfall methodologies for project management, sound understanding of Dev Ops tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge on various technologies such as ERP, Operating systems, Datacenter virtualization and consolidation, Infrastructure management Applications and Cloud Technologies.
- Excellent written and Oral communication with outstanding articulation in customer facing presentations
- Experience in at least two Industry verticals such as Manufacturing, Hi-tech, Aero & defence, Travel Transport & Logistics, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Pharma, Lifesciences, Retail, BFSI, Govt. etc.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems architecture knowledge, and experience with designing multi-tier architecture, conducting solution workshops with solution alternative analysis and recommendations
- Experience working directly with Cloud providers / infrastructure partners like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform etc., designing physical/hybrid data centers, database technologies, operating systems (Windows, Linux) and orchestration tools (Chef, puppet)
- Prior experience with working across the full technology stack, including the use of Cloud hosting and micro-services architecture
- Understanding of commercial SaaS products for business propositions
- Experience with delivering solutions based on enterprise DC Migration and Consolidation across various platforms.
- Understanding of cyber security principles and technologies
- Tenacious problem solver demonstrating an innate curiosity and passion for solving difficult problems.
- Leads and facilitates the domain s architecture governance process based on EA s governance structure.
- Proven track record of cross functional collaboration and influencing skills at high levels
Business Acumen
- Create, analyze and manage projects that provide direct business benefit; demonstrate detailed knowledge of business operations and strategic direction, including merger & acquisition opportunities; understand industry trends and competitive landscape and the implications for customer business; partner with business leaders to align projects with business goals and needs.
Leadership
- Recommend allocation of the budget to meet architectural initiatives critical to business/mission success. Develop the business case for approval.
- Provide leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout their domain. Define the skills, competencies in the skills and talents for architecture team members.
- Facilitates dialogues that produce new perspectives and trigger recommendations for substantial innovative/enhancements and analysis of consequences.
- Influences through others. Uses experts or other third parties to influence. Builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas, uses chains of indirect influence.

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
