Job Details

Job Title: Construction Specialist III (Contractor)
Location: Plymouth, MA
Schedule: Nights & Weekends (Approx. 50 hrs/week)
Pay Rate: Up to $65/hour (W2 or equivalent)
Duration: Through 12/31/2025 (possible extension)


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute overhead and underground construction work including placing hardline, strand poles, transferring facilities, and placing connectivity platforms in joint trench

  • Operate and ensure safe use of construction vehicles and related equipment

  • Maintain accurate records for project start dates, milestones, production logs, materials, and labor costs

  • Conduct site inspections and enforce safety standards, holding regular safety meetings

  • Coordinate project activities between contractors, specialists, and leadership teams

  • Generate logs and reports for construction progress, materials, and expenditures

  • Resolve customer requests or complaints related to construction work

  • Supervise construction crews and ensure performance meets goals and quality standards

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction regulations

  • Act as the primary field interface with contractors and liaison between construction and regional network operations

  • Verify job documentation and maps (JT or Polaris) for path accuracy and quality

  • Ensure new or upgraded power supplies are in place and operational prior to activation

  • Maintain field presence (~90% of time) to ensure quality delivery and smooth handoffs to operations teams


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of telecom or utility construction experience (fiber, coax, or aerial/underground)

  • Strong field supervision and contractor coordination skills

  • Working knowledge of OSHA and industry safety regulations

  • Strong documentation and reporting skills (Excel, JT/Polaris preferred)

  • Ability to work nights/weekends as required

  • Valid driver s license and reliable vehicle
