Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager – Operations to support the Walmart Marketplace Events team. This role will manage multiple smaller trade show events and lead a large, high-profile event scheduled for the first week of September. This is not a junior PM role.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, particularly in events, marketing, or communications, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. PMP certification preferred, but not mandatory for candidates with proven high-profile event experience.

About the Team

Walmart Marketplace is a fast-growing platform supporting millions of products and third-party sellers. The Seller Marketing & Communications team drives seller engagement, education, and growth through events, campaigns, and strategic communications.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive project plans (pre-launch, launch, post-launch)

  • Project manage and execute marketing and event campaigns, including creative deliverables, scheduling, documentation, reviews, and reporting

  • Lead operations and planning for seller marketing and education initiatives

  • Oversee intake of marketing and communications requests and ensure completeness of requirements

  • Participate in regular stakeholder check-ins to communicate SLAs, timelines, and status updates

  • Manage editorial calendars and collaborate with creative teams to define scope, milestones, and timelines

  • Enforce internal processes, workflows, and SLAs

  • Identify risks, pain points, and opportunities for improvement; escalate issues proactively

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field OR 5+ years of relevant experience

  • 3–5 years of project/program management experience (marketing, creative, digital, or agency environment preferred)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and tight timelines

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

  • Ability to work onsite in Bentonville, AR

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification

  • Experience managing high-profile or large-scale events

  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Asana, and Airtable
