Enterprise Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking an Enterprise Architect.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture blueprints across business, application, data, and infrastructure domains
* The Enterprise Architect will ensure alignment between architecture strategies and organizational goals, including digital transformation initiatives
* Lead the assessment of legacy systems to identify technical debt, risks, and business dependencies
* Recommend and support modernization strategies such as rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring, or retiring outdated systems
* Design target-state architectures and guide solution development across enterprise platforms
* Collaborate with stakeholders to create phased roadmaps for application transformation and system decommissioning
* Define and enforce architecture standards, policies, and governance frameworks
* Evaluate emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations for adoption
* The Enterprise Architect will act as a strategic advisor to business and IT leadership
* Facilitate architecture reviews, workshops, and key decision-making processes

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-10 years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture roles
* Proven experience leading legacy system discovery and modernization efforts
* Strong understanding of enterprise integration, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), and infrastructure modernization
* Proficiency with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA, Visio)
* Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications in TOGAF, AWS/Azure architecture, or equivalent
* Experience in complex, regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government
* Familiarity with ITIL, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
