Description
The Network Analyst will be supporting NOC leadership and technicians while leveraging Network Element Management Systems as well as Operational Support Systems to identify circuits affected by network maintenances and outages. They will provide reports on network operational performance and analyze network data in relation to Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets. Additionally, they will handle data entry and provisioning of circuit information within network monitoring systems.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Serve as Expert-User for NOC alarming, monitoring and SLA systems ensuring data is correct and up to date to aid in troubleshooting network issues.
Create Maintenance Notifications (NOFAs) for all circuits potentially impacted by maintenance activities within the advanced time frames required by our customers.
Generate reports showing the performance of key metrics against Service Level Agreements, adhering to the contractual targets and specified reporting formats required by each customer.
Design processes to detect negative trends in meeting customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, enabling proactive engagement with other teams to address issues before they lead to missed monthly targets.
Enter data into various Operational Support Systems (OSS) to update information on new circuit activations and disconnects as they occur.
Assist NOC leadership with ad-hoc reporting and provisioning projects
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Required Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent in IT or Technical related field
Prior experience with manipulating, reporting, and analyzing data.
Experience formatting data for easy analysis (spreadsheets, charts, pivot-tables, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft 365 with emphasis on Excel
Demonstrated analytical ability, judgment, and problem-solving skill
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to quickly pivot between tasks as needed
Proficient in automating the creation of data analysis reports and notifications, including automated spreadsheet updates and email distribution list notifications.
