Role: Lab Technician
Work location: Pittsburgh, PA. - 5 Days onsite
Duration: 12+ Months
Pay Rate: $20/hr to $25/hr on w2

Job Description:

• The Lab Technician will be responsible for the daily coordination, operation, and maintenance of laboratory facilities to ensure compliance with Client's quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• This role will support laboratory testing activities, manage equipment and supplies, and provide technical assistance to internal teams to enable efficient and compliant laboratory operations.
• Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration, preventive maintenance, hardware/software troubleshooting, and repair to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
• Perform software installation, upgrades, and configuration for laboratory instruments and electro-mechanical devices, ensuring compatibility and performance across Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Maintain and manage an accurate asset tracking system to monitor equipment location, status, availability, and lifecycle.
• Coordinate procurement, shipment, and inventory management of laboratory supplies, equipment, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
• Support testing activities by preparing samples, executing routine and specialized tests, and ensuring precise documentation of test results and metadata.
• Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring comprehensive documentation and compliance with medical regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to support product development, validation, and production activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment consistent with company EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies and medical device industry requirements.
• Generate and present detailed reports, KPIs, and compliance metrics to laboratory management and stakeholders.
