Location: Houston, TX 77042

Industry: Energy / Midstream Projects

Type: 1 year contract

Pay: $25-$27.50 /HR

Schedule: Mon-Fri

About the Role

We're looking for a Document Control Specialist with deep SharePoint expertise to support our Midstream Projects Organization. This isn't your typical document control role-it's fast-paced, highly collaborative, and central to managing project documentation across a large portfolio. If you're organized, tech-savvy, and experienced in energy or construction environments, we'd love to talk.

Top Must-Haves

  • Advanced SharePoint skills - especially admin-level knowledge; you'll spend 85% of your time in it.

  • Solid Microsoft Office skills - especially Excel and Outlook.

  • 6+ years in a records/document control role.

  • 4+ years in the energy or construction industry.

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, email, and Teams. You'll be interacting with PMs daily and leading trainings.

  • Super organized - You'll support hundreds of projects and need a solid system for staying on top of everything.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and audit project documentation and turnover files in compliance with government and company standards.

  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers and Information Management teams, plus external contractors, to ensure all document deliverables are aligned.

  • Use SAP to retrieve and analyze key project information.

  • Navigate Livelink to access archived project data.

  • Oversee file structure and organization for the entire Midstream Projects group using SharePoint.

  • Perform SharePoint administrative duties: set up internal/external sites, manage user access, and ensure data is accurate and accessible.

  • Support project closeout procedures, including checklists and documentation wrap-up.

  • Serve as the go-to SharePoint expert, offering troubleshooting and process improvement guidance.

  • Continuously develop and improve document management systems and workflows.
