Project Description:
- The Data & Analytics domain touches 10-20 initiatives at any given time there is a data component to all projects across IT. There are two product managers in the D&A domain, one (FTE) focuses on B2B, marketing systems, stores, and the other person (this open role) will focus on OMS, transportation, logistics.
- The D&A product manager will partner closely with the domain aligned product managers and data engineering teams for D&A specific requests at times, the power users as well.
- D&A domain is divided into two sections: analytics/data ingestion and reporting. Focus here is analytics/data ingestion (the more technical side).
Responbility:
You will be part of the Supply Chain Product Management team responsible for delivering strategic solutions to drive value to our business partners and WSI. Our job is to ensure that we deliver quality IT initiatives that exceed the expectations of our customers and provide a return on our technology investment.
In this role, you will consult and work with the business stakeholders, project managers, architects, development teams, and others to gather and define, then develop and document client requirements as both functional specifications then translate them to technical requirements to ensure successful deployment of deliverables. Our ideal candidate has a technical understanding of systems and applications.
- Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide product and user experience solutions to meet the business needs
- Develops high level business requirements and translates them into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.
- Possesses broad knowledge of technical design specifications and works with technology peers to help develop solutions
- Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between the business and IT from initial requirements to final implementation
- Possess and may share subject-matter expertise or in-depth technical knowledge, uses expertise to further development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
- May provide tactical work direction to team members
- Excellent knowledge of product management best practices, functional design and application delivery methodology
- Customer focused with high quality standards, must possess strong presentation skills
- Possesses solid knowledge of project management methodology
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, business communication and writing skills
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

Top Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience in a technology organization
- Industry experience when working with a lot of data retail industry, insurance industry, healthcare data
- Ideally has supply chain functions such as order management, transportation, warehouse management, etc.
- Project experience around data and analytics plus passionate about data
- Understanding of the ETL process
- Ability to run SQLs (read-only) without any assistance
- Should be hands on/write complex SQL queries to join multiple tables
- Able to differentiate between rules-based analytics and AI/ML-based analytics.
- Working within a data platform team doing analytics, or other quantitative role.
- Experience with visualization tools including PowerBi, Micro Strategy
- Strong experience with SQL
- Able to write complex queries, join tables, expand columns
