Job Title: SAP SD PM with Data Migration

Location: NJ (Preferred East Coast homebase) Role Type: Onsite

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced O2C DTM Tribe Lead for SAP S4 HANA project implementation. This role requires a strong background in SAP implementation projects, particularly in data migration planning and execution. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management competencies and the ability to influence without direct authority, fostering collaboration across local and global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Migration Methodology:

    • Understand and follow the Data Migration Global playbook, including strategy, sequence, and tools (ETL).

    • Build and maintain work plans to support activities and timelines aligned with key milestones.

  2. Collaboration with Data Migration Lead:

    • Track and report data migration/propagation execution progress, addressing roadblocks and documenting mitigation plans.

    • Provide visibility on planning, milestones, and risks related to data migration/propagation execution.

  3. Execution Support:

    • Assist data migration object owners and IT experts in activities such as data object scoping and mapping design.

    • Coach teams on best practices for data cleansing and propagation.

  4. Liaison Role:

    • Act as the link between core team expertise and local teams, resolving questions and obtaining additional support when needed.

  5. Defect Management:

    • Track, analyze, and ensure timely resolution and closure of defects.

  6. Compliance and Documentation:

    • Ensure completion of data migration tasks in compliance with Internal Control audit requirements.

    • Document lessons learned and Return on Experience for data migration/propagation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience with SAP and large project implementations.

  • 4+ full life cycle SAP implementations focused on data migration.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Migration Consultant.

  • Expertise in Material, Customer, Vendor Master, and Transactional Data conversions.

  • Strong understanding of Data Migration Methodology (ETL), including profiling, cleansing, and validation activities.

  • Experience with Syniti data migration tools and other SAP-related solutions (e.g., BODS, MDG).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.

  • Preferred experience in Agile project management and leadership.

  • Strong business process acumen for retail, supply chain, manufacturing, and D2C business models.

Additional Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with ServiceNow and Power BI reporting.

  • Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Syniti).

  • Ability to analyze data trends and present executive summaries effectively.

Requirements:

  • Virtual meetings (e.g., MS Teams) must be conducted on-camera.

  • Meeting agendas, goals, decisions, and recaps must be documented within 24 hours, including actions, owners, and deadlines.

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); proficiency in French is highly desirable.

  • Ability to travel internationally (e.g., France) for key project milestones.
