Job Details
Job Title: IBM iSeries (formerly AS/400) LPAR Admin
Location: Chicago, IL / Indianapolis, IN Onsite from Day 1
Need someone who worked Managed Services consulting background
Years of Experience: 10 - 15 years
Job Description:
- Manage the software license maintenance renewal process
- LPAR Design and Implementation*: Design and implement LPARs on iSeries servers, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization.
- MQ & Batch Jobs: Experience IBMi MQ, Batch Jobs scheduling & monitoring
Requirements
- IBM iSeries expertise*: Strong knowledge of IBM iSeries servers, LPARs, and virtualization technologies.
- System administration*: Experience with system administration tasks, such as configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Resource management*: Understanding of resource allocation and management in LPAR environments.
- Security and compliance*: Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory requirements for LPARs.
- Problem-solving*: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication*: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- IBM certifications*: Relevant IBM certifications, such as IBM Certified System Administrator or IBM Certified Deployment Professional.
- Experience with IBM iSeries*: Proven experience working with IBM iSeries servers and LPARs.
- Strong analytical skills*: Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
