Maintenance Technician-Third Shift

Maintenance Technician - Third Shift

Location: Janesville, WI

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10 pm-6am and overtime as needed

Salary: $25-40 per hour plus shift differential for 3rd shift

Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician - Third Shift is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment through effective maintenance and troubleshooting. This role focuses on performing routine maintenance, addressing mechanical issues, and supporting production needs during the third shift to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment and machinery during the third shift.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed.
  • Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Implement Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure safety during maintenance activities.
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
  • Collaborate with production staff to address any equipment-related issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, ideally in an industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
