Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Engineering Lead/Architect to drive modernization, cloud migration, and Kubernetes platform excellence on Microsoft Azure. You will architect end-to-end cloud-native solutions, modernize database platforms, optimize AKS workloads, and lead Azure SQL migration strategies with a focus on high performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, solution-driven, and passionate about cloud-native engineering and developer enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Azure SQL Hyperscale and Managed Instance solutions; lead Oracle Azure SQL migrations.
Architect, optimize, and troubleshoot AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) clusters for scalability, cost savings, and performance.
Implement Azure Functions and integrate serverless with containerized microservices.
Drive FinOps and cost optimization strategies (autoscaling, spot instances, right-sizing).
Troubleshoot AKS components control plane, node pools, networking, storage, disk issues.
Migrate workloads from legacy orchestration platforms to cloud-native Kubernetes.
Apply Kubernetes best practices: Helm Charts, RBAC, HPA, Secrets, ConfigMaps, StatefulSets.
Advise on performance and scalability decisions: Azure SQL Hyperscale vs Managed Instance.
Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to enable smooth cloud adoption.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud (AKS, Azure SQL, Azure Functions).
Expert-level skills in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Proven experience with Oracle to Azure SQL migration.
Deep troubleshooting skills in AKS, networking, disks, and storage.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).
Solid understanding of FinOps and cost optimization practices.
Excellent communication and ability to guide developers and stakeholders.
