Overview

Deutsche Bank's Corporate Bank division is a leading provider of cash management, trade finance and securities finance; we complete green-field projects that deliver the best Corporate Bank - Securities Services products in the world. At Deutsche Bank's Corporate Bank division, you'll be part of a cross-functional agile team developing high-impact applications within the Enterprise Risk Technology space. You will drive innovation by building modern software solutions using the latest technologies and practices. As a software developer, your contributions will directly shape scalable, reliable services that support the Bank's core infrastructure. You will engage throughout the full software lifecycle, collaborating with diverse teams and influencing architectural decisions.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop scalable software using Java, REST application programming interface (APIs), and data-grid user interface (UI) frameworks on Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms
  • Build robust interfaces between front-end applications and backend services to support risk technology solutions
  • Apply test-driven and behavior-driven development practices to deliver clean, maintainable code
  • Collaborate with analysts, testers, and other developers to define and implement business requirements
  • Support continuous delivery by contributing to continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) (CI/CD) pipelines and maintaining production-ready code
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and promote engineering best practices across the software development lifecycle

Skills You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java) with object-oriented and functional programming knowledge
  • Experience with RESTful services, front-end technologies (JavaScript, ReactJS), and Oracle PL/SQL
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Hands-on experience with test-driven development and continuous integration
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban

Skills That Will Help You Excel
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute to cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and living documentation practices
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases, streaming technologies, or data processing platforms
  • Understanding of modern architectural patterns like Domain-Driven Design, Event Sourcing, or microservices
  • Passion for clean code, continuous learning, and technical mentoring

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $85,000 to $120,750. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
