Description: Our client is currently seeking a Staff Product Manager

Job Title: Product Manager

Duration: 6+ months

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week in office)

About the Role
  • We're looking for a strategic and technically skilled Staff Product Manager to lead core initiatives within our marketplace catalog team.
  • This role will own key product areas that enable item setup, ingestion, item specifications, classification, completion, and enrichment, ultimately contributing to a best-in-class shopping and seller experience. The successful candidate will work on projects and initiatives directly related to our Catalog.

Responsibilities
  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for marketplace catalog domain areas, focusing on item specification, taxonomy, and attribute systems.
  • Define product requirements, prioritize initiatives, and analyze product performance.
  • Drive catalog features to improve item setup, content completeness and quality, seller adoption, automation, and speed to publish.
  • Lead platform-level thinking for the catalog across different assortments, fulfillment types, and channels.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Drafting product requirements in Jira and other documentation.
  • Gaining alignment with cross-functional partners.

Prioritizing requirements.
  • Opportunity sizing and analyzing product performance.
  • Defining product roadmap deliverables.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in the catalog domain.
  • Strong understanding of catalog systems, item specifications, taxonomy, and schema design.
  • Experience in building 0-1 capabilities that improve seller and customer experience with proven financial impact.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale platforms with complex stakeholder ecosystems.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to collaborate across engineering, analytics, business, and product teams.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and make data-informed decisions.
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Fluent with analytical tools like Mixpanel, Looker, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align teams at all levels.
  • Familiarity with product development tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, roadmapping tools).
  • Strong, confident, and succinct communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in retail, marketplace, or large-scale B2C/B2B2C companies.

  • Experience with AI/ML products, specifically in data extraction, validation, and enrichment.
