Position Summary
Provide Subject matter expertise on Samsung vRAN solution to customer's engineering teams.
Role and Responsibilities
Duties: Provide Subject matter expertise on Samsung vRAN solution to customer's engineering teams. Lead the support teams in troubleshooting commercial Radio network configuration and KPI related call processing issues, propose workarounds, and work with R&D teams to provide the Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Lead and drive the resolution of high severity issues and provide support to meet the SLA requirements. Support troubleshooting of oRAN interface issues in a multi-vendor Radio deployment with Samsung vRAN solution. Assist Customer in developing and implementing product specific methods of procedures in the commercial networks. Assist Customer with troubleshooting issues related to orchestration, including AWS and VMWare, and integration 5G vRAN software in cloud platforms. Work closely with various cross- functional support and R&D teams for the new Samsung products, including RRH, vDU & vCU, roll-outs and deployment.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as Professional III, Network System Technical Support or related occupation in the troubleshooting experience in supporting 4G/5G RAN and o-RAN network deployment and commercial network. Of the 8 years of experience at least 4 years must have included: (1) Validating, deploying and supporting 5G, vRAN, and O-RAN on public cloud technologies, including AWS and VMWare, in a multi-vendor environment; (2) Experience with 3GPP systems, architecture and protocols; (3) Experience with 5G RF optimization and parameter tuning for new product launch and ongoing KPI improvements task force; (4) Creating vRAN network topology, network deployments work flows, field test plans, and engineering and integration methods of procedures; and (5) Creating, validating lab and field test cases for 5G vRAN and O-RAN deployment scenario, and executing performance and functions test cases.
Travel Requirement: 20% domestic travel required.
