Description

We are looking for a talented Production Artist r to join our team on a short-term contract basis in Phoenix, Arizona. This will be a 1-2 week, onsite contract.

Responsibilities:

Develops production-ready artwork, images, and graphics in various formats; and resolves any artwork issues that arise during production

Assures quality and accuracy of designs in creative projects, particularly in the final stages of development

Reviews graphics, layouts, and fonts before project is complete; and recommends and applies image quality and improvements including retouching images and manipulating images

Evaluates, modifies, and corrects die lines for boxes, bags, and cut-and-sew projects

Applies client packaging artwork to flattened die lines

Finalizes designs and prepares final press-ready files for print or digital publication based on provided specifications

Collaborates closely with team members to execute design vision

Creates PDFs for client review and follows up with clients to ensure their requirements are met

Archives produced project images and graphics

Keeps up-to-date with trends in graphic design techniques and software

Follows a timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in design or appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

Extensive pre-press experience

Ability to demonstrate proficiency with die line art files

Experience in 3D environments a big plus

Proven work experience as a production artist, graphic designer or similar

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Meticulous and goal oriented with a keen eye for the smallest details

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strict attention to detail

Process oriented and self-starter

Previous experience with Basecamp or similar project management software is a HUGE plus

Proficient at Microsoft PowerPoint

Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
