Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)

Contract Type: W2 Only

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Business Analyst with strong data expertise to drive strategic initiatives and optimize product performance. You'll transform business needs into technical solutions while collaborating with product teams and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute complex data queries using SQL, R, Python, or JavaScript
  • Manage product backlogs in Azure DevOps, JIRA, or Trello
  • Translate executive strategy into actionable technical requirements
  • Lead cross-functional teams with minimal supervision
  • Analyze business processes and recommend data-driven improvements
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Databricks, Fivetran, or dbt
  • Integrate data from SAP, Salesforce, or Workday systems
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies as Product Owner or key contributor
  • Document requirements and present findings to executives
  • Implement data solutions using medallion architecture principles
  • Configure Unity Catalog for data governance (preferred)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 11+ years in Business/Data Analysis roles
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with Azure Data Factory
  • Proficiency in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong analytical skills with executive-level presentation ability
  • Experience as Product Owner or close product team collaboration
  • Expertise in data integration from enterprise systems
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medallion architecture and Unity Catalog
  • Experience with self-service analytics environments
  • Certifications: CSPO, PMI-PBA, or CAP
