Job Details

DUTIES:

  • Design, build, test, and maintain scalable and stable off the shelf application or custom-built technology solutions to meet business needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Application Software Developers and Engineers.
  • Contribute to the entire implementation process including driving the definition of improvements based on business need and architectural improvements.
  • Move from a monolithic architecture to microservices.
  • Make the code base cloud ready.
  • Meet with business partners to understand business needs and feature discovery and requirement gathering.
  • Develop and coach junior developers.
  • Responsible for overall design of the solution.
  • Responsible for seeing feature from discovery phase to market.
  • Design, build, and test applications.
  • Ensure adequate unit test coverage.
  • Assist in collecting test data for quality assurance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning for complex business processes and functionality.
  • Position reports to Centene headquarters at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.
  • Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time.
  • No additional national or international travel is anticipated.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • In addition, experience with the following skills is required: (1) Working in web design, development, and support in a component UI/microservice and monolithic architectures. (2) Defining high-level architectural direction on new capabilities requested by the business. (3) Using React.js in component UI architecture, and Node.js for microservice development. (4) Building server-less applications using the AWS cloud architecture. (5) Working with Accessibility/508 compliant UI development. Applying accessibility code linter and browser tools to identify and address 508 compliance violations.

JOB SITE: 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105

WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]

PAY RANGE: $134,085.13 to $158,100.00 per year
