Job Details

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsiblities-
  • Configure products to process various file formats to streamline the exchange of digital healthcare information.
  • Design and develop a complex delivery solution for Enterprise Gateway EDI transaction platform.
  • Design, code, develop, install, configure, monitor, and support a wide range of healthcare services and products.
  • Interact with business users, define application requirements, determine appropriate technology solutions and technical feasibility, and translate business processes and requirements into workflow and integration designs.
  • Analyze product integrations and compatibilities, prepare flow charts and system diagrams, and complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
  • Work closely with architects to formulate architecture and implementation strategies. Implement IT roadmaps, manage implementation timelines, and execute desired changes.
  • Integrate tools to send and receive electronic data between systems.
  • Execute updates on applications and software.
  • Fix bugs, help patch security flaws, support infrastructure updates, and plan future storage requirements and data retention policies. Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications-

Position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, or related plus at least three years of experience in software engineering within the healthcare domain. Experience must include general healthcare transaction processing systems, HIPAA X12 Transaction standards/processing, Edifecs software, XEngine, XEServer, SpecBuilder, Transaction Management (TM), Trading Partner Management (TPM), Edifecs Application Manager (EAM), Java, Groovy, XML, XSL, XPath, JSON data structures, Windows Server, and Linux OS.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
