Position Overview
This role provides both day-to-day operational support and contributes at a strategic level-driving goals, OKRs/KRIs, and long-term initiatives.
The Program Manager is expected to act as a strategic partner and thought leader-someone who is proactive, identifies gaps, develops solutions, and leads execution across multiple teams, rather than simply responding to requests.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead program-level planning and execution across a range of security and engineering projects.
Work closely with the Director to align with strategic objectives, key metrics, and organizational priorities.
Manage Agile workflows (Scrum/Kanban) to enhance visibility and monitor progress.
Facilitate communication, coordination, and status updates among architecture, engineering, and product strategy teams.
Track progress toward OKRs/KRIs and contribute to the shift toward a product and services operating model.
Use Jira for project tracking and reporting; familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus but not required.
Experience & Qualifications
10-15 years of experience in Program Management or Technical Program Management.
Proven track record of working with executive-level stakeholders (Directors, VPs) and influencing cross-functional teams.
Background in cybersecurity or experience within a security-focused environment is preferred.
Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on operational tasks.
Product management experience or background as a Product Owner is strongly preferred.
Advanced Jira proficiency for workflow management and executive reporting.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities, with the capability to bring structure to dynamic teams.
Team Culture & Current Focus
The team is undergoing a significant transformation, shifting from primarily operational work to a more strategic, product-oriented model. The Program Manager will play a key role in introducing structure, clarity, and process discipline while helping teams adapt to this evolving culture.
Daily Responsibilities
Lead programs and projects through their full lifecycle, including product development, scoping, timeline management, task tracking, communication, and reporting.
Manage stakeholder relationships and engagement for large or complex initiatives.
Provide consistent visibility into progress via dashboards, roadmaps, review materials, and other reporting formats.
Help prioritize both immediate and long-term efforts to support program leadership goals.
Analyze and document product services, use cases, project scenarios, service request types, and Jira configurations to support process improvement.
Monitor project development and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product or process enhancements.
Pinpoint areas suitable for improvement or automation and lead the team through development and implementation of solutions.
