Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Engineering

  • Lead structural engineering projects from proposal through completion.

  • Coordinate directly with senior engineers, executives, and clients.

  • Apply sound engineering judgment to design, evaluation, and problem-solving tasks.

  • Visit job sites as necessary to assess project conditions and progress.

Technical Design & Oversight

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of project types.

  • Ensure work adheres to industry standards and best practices.

  • Use software tools such as RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, and Excel; basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting platforms is required.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and design staff.

  • Ensure clear communication and quality control across project phases.

  • Coordinate internal resources and manage project timelines and budgets.

Client Engagement & Development

  • Participate in business development and marketing activities with targeted clients.

  • Foster long-term client relationships through professional service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a focus on structural design.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering.

  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, NDS, Building Codes).

  • Proficient with engineering software tools; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting tools preferred.

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Certified as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training / Fundamentals in Engineering (EIT / FE)
