Supplier Liaison Engineer

Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Supplier Liaison Engineer for our client based out of Hagerstown, MD.

This assignment is anticipated to be a --6 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.

This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Track and support the return process of materials from the facility to the supplier
• Monitor clean points and identify recurring issues based on established quality processes
• Provide rapid feedback on rejected items, including defect documentation and communication with the supplier
• Coordinate and supervise sorting activities and third-party support as needed
• Conduct line surveillance with quality personnel to identify and escalate potential issues early
• Manage sorting of supplier products until certified replacements are available
• Facilitate communication between the supplier and the facility regarding delivery, quality, and cost-related matters
• Track and follow up on corrective action reports (e.g., 8D), ensuring timely responses
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to represent the supplier's interests
• Maintain delivery and shipping communication between the supplier and the facility

Experience:

• Experience in supplier support, production coordination, or quality assurance
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently on-site and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with issue tracking and resolution processes
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
