Job Description

You will be the IT&E technical lead and E&T functional manager at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Grand Prairie, TX, or Orlando, FL. Our team is responsible for driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution, and you will play a key role in managing and developing a team of engineers to achieve these goals.

What You Will Be Doing
As the IT&E technical lead and E&T functional manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, providing technical coaching and mentoring, and supporting department initiatives and directorate undertakings. You will drive technical excellence, affordability, and program execution by providing work assignments, employee career development, and continuous employee feedback. You will also be an advocate for your employees during opportunity discussions and coordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training. You will support the planning, organization, and overall execution of the major field and flight test events within Dallas, Orlando, and offsite facilities.
This role would work in conjunction with the IT&E Architect on program, and provide program inputs to a diverse cross-functional team.
Tasks will include (but not limited to) Field Test execution, System and Electrical Block Diagram development, specification development, architecture design, support to Test Plan development, Test Execution, capital expenditures, and inputs to numerous internal and externally driven Design Review events. Targeting a quick learner/high potential candidate, with extensive integration and test experience in a lab environment, and an aspiration to or have previously led technical efforts.

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing technical coaching and mentoring to team members
Assigning work and developing employee career plans
Providing continuous employee feedback and performance assessments
Coordinating employee recruitment, selection, and training
Developing and facilitating salary planning and recognition/disciplinary actions
Driving engineering competency development and supporting program development
Executing development requirements and adhering to engineering development processes
Promoting customer focus and serving as the technical conscience for programs

The ability to travel to Orlando, Dallas, and Field Test Sites is required (~once a month)

The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. An Interim Secret Clearance is required to start.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Math (STEM) or equivalent
professional experience
Previous RF Field Test Planning and Execution
experience
Current or prior team leadership assignment, either in a technical or programmatic leadership capacity.
Current or prior experience with field and flight test integration (Subsystem or AUR)
Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, and/or employee development and mentoring
The ability to travel to Orlando, Dallas, and Field Test Sites is required (~once a month)
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
