Job Description:
- The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting a registries modernization project by facilitating requirements gathering, conducting gap analyses, documenting business processes, and ensuring successful delivery of IT solutions.
- This role requires strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills, as well as experience working in Agile or Hybrid environments.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and conduct process walkthroughs.
- Identify goals and pain points through gap analysis on current and future state business processes.
- Create, review, and update user stories, personas, and journey maps as applicable.
- Develop system use cases, flow diagrams, and interactive mock-ups outlining functional requirements.
- Document and validate results with subject matter experts to create detailed business and functional requirements specifications.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design IT solutions and validate through user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Support the development of non-technical system documentation and provide input for policy and procedural manuals.
- Assist in change management and training to ensure successful delivery of complex program changes.
- Monitor and evaluate implemented services, conduct post-implementation reviews, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work with security and privacy teams to complete security threat risk assessments and privacy impact assessments.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and status reporting as required.
- 5 years of experience translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements in an enterprise IT environment.
- 5 years of experience documenting user requirements, business processes, and workflows.
- 3 years of experience facilitating and managing business process development and process re-engineering workshops.
- 3 years of experience with user acceptance testing, including planning, reporting, and task management.
- 3 years of experience drafting strategic business and technical documentation.
- 3 years of experience working within an Agile development environment.
- 1 year of experience working within a registries modernization project.
- Bachelor s degree in IT or related field of study.
- 3 years of experience reviewing and providing test input during requirements gathering and design phases.
- 3 years of experience evaluating policies, programs, and initiatives using program development principles.
- 3 years of experience developing and communicating design solutions through wireframes, prototypes, or user flows.
- 3 years of experience analyzing process maps and data flow diagrams for complex business processes.
- 3 years of experience gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders across departments or ministries.
- 3 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing complex IT solutions.
- 3 years of experience preparing project documentation for various initiatives and projects.
- Must complete mandatory training (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Security Awareness).
- Must provide personal computer and equipment compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) for remote access.
