Role: AWS Mainframe Modernization
Location: Boise, ID - 70% remote
Duration: Long term
Rate: $Market All Inclusive



Must have Migration experience
Can have the experience in assessing the clients' mainframe environment along with all the required experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the assessment of clients' mainframe environments to determine the best migration strategy to AWS.
  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architecture solutions that meet clients' business and IT needs.
  • Develop and implement migration plans, including the integration of AWS services with legacy mainframe applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, database administrators, and application developers, to ensure successful migration.
  • Provide expertise on AWS services relevant to mainframe migration, such as AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS Mainframe Modernization, and AWS Lambda.
  • Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for clients and internal teams on AWS cloud technologies and best practices for mainframe migration.
  • Monitor and optimize migrated systems to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of the latest AWS features, services, and best practices to continually improve migration strategies.
Required Qualifications:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT architecture, including at least 2 years focused on mainframe migration to cloud environments.
  • Proven track record of successful mainframe migration projects to AWS.
  • Deep understanding of mainframe technologies, architectures, and legacy application dependencies.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, architecture best practices, and migration tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
