Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work onsite. This
includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the
development of our products.
The salary range is $145,392.00 to $179,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

What YOU will do
- Perform stress analysis and approve repairs to minimize aircraft downtime on all Collins Aerostructures commercial nacelle hardware that are compliant with certified type design and airworthiness (FAA/EASA) requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, making recommendations to management, and working on standardization to improve turnaround times.
- Perform repair stress analysis and develop analytical methods for complex technical issues requiring creativity and ingenuity in supporting airline operational requirements, formal certification reports, and design changes.
- Make quick engineering judgments and perform margin explorations for repair solutions based on certification analysis, on various nacelle components for different programs.
- Apply advance structural analysis principles to support repair design development on metallic and composite structures.
- Innovate, design, develop and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and operating conditions.
- Work on various engineering projects and processes across engineering disciplines.
- Perform complex engineering activities to include creating and implementing common procedures and standards for work across the company.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as an Aerospace Engineer or related role. In the alternative, at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as an Aerospace Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience working in CATIA.
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience with an ERP system.
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience in DO-160.
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience with project planning/management.
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience with root cause corrective action tools.
- Must possess a Project Management Professional Certification.
