SAP PP/QM Consultant
Salisbury, MD (Onsite)

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP PP/QM (Production Planning / Quality Management) Consultant to join our ERP team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SAP PP and QM modules and will be responsible for system configuration, process optimization, implementation, support, and enhancements in the SAP S/4HANA or ECC environment. This role will work closely with business users and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient manufacturing and quality processes.

Key Responsibilities:

<>SAP PP (Production Planning):</>

  • Analyze business requirements and design SAP PP solutions including:

    • Master data (BOM, routing, work centers)

    • MRP (Material Requirements Planning)

    • Production Orders / Process Orders

    • Capacity Planning

    • Shop Floor Control

  • Configure and customize SAP PP module to meet business needs.

  • Support production execution processes, discrete manufacturing, and/or process manufacturing.

  • Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to optimize planning processes.

<>SAP QM (Quality Management):</>

  • Design and configure QM processes including:

    • Quality Planning (inspection plans, sampling procedures)

    • Quality Inspection (incoming, in-process, final inspection)

    • Quality Notifications and Defects Management

    • Quality Certificates and Audit Management

  • Ensure integration of QM with other modules (MM, SD, PM, PP).

  • Implement quality control processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.

<>General Responsibilities:</>

  • Work on end-to-end SAP PP/QM implementations, rollouts, and support projects.

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user training.

  • Prepare documentation including functional specifications, configuration documents, and training materials.

  • Provide production support and troubleshoot SAP issues in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP and QM modules.

  • Strong understanding of business processes in manufacturing and quality management.

  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA is preferred.

  • Good knowledge of SAP integration with MM, SD, WM, and PM modules.

  • Experience with process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to interact with business users and provide end-user support.
