Job Title: Business Analyst - HR/Payroll Systems
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 12 Months
Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with expertise in HR and U.S. payroll processes to define, refine, and deliver business and functional requirements across enterprise initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategy, optimize workflows, and shape technology direction across fast-moving business environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture and validate business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements
- Translate business requirements into functional design and assess solutions for feasibility, risk, and business impact
- Model processes, data flows, and systems to identify efficiency or automation opportunities
- Manage traceability from business needs through testing, ensuring end-to-end solution quality
- Document processes and configurations using standard tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and vendor partners to define integration and data standards
- Develop acceptance criteria, coordinate testing, and confirm alignment with business value
- Build and present business cases to justify solution investment and prioritization
- Lead design sessions, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and manage competing priorities
- Support Agile ceremonies and educate stakeholders on hybrid delivery models

- Navigating multiple stakeholder demands and balancing delivery with governance
- Managing expectations in evolving project landscapes
- Translating technical deliverables into business terminology for decision-making
Qualifications:
- 10+ years overall experience, minimum 8+ in Business Analysis
- Expertise in HR processes and U.S. payroll systems
- Proven track record in Agile projects and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical, data modeling, and visualization capability (Power BI/Tableau)
- Solid understanding of systems engineering concepts
- CBAP or PMI-PBA certification strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills
