Position: Salesforce Technical Lead Employment Type: Full Time Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year Position Overview
PruTech is seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Lead to serve as a key member of our technical team, working under the guidance of solution architects. This role combines deep technical expertise with collaborative leadership, requiring someone who can implement solutions using Salesforce's declarative capabilities, Public Sector Solutions, and custom code when necessary. The ideal candidate will prioritize platform-native solutions while maintaining strong coding skills for when development is required, and will validate architect designs for feasibility and identify potential implementation challenges early in the development process.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute technical solutions following architect-designed implementations, prioritizing declarative and standard capabilities
  • Provide hands-on expertise in both platform configuration and custom development while collaborating with team members on best practices
  • Validate and provide feedback on architect designs to ensure optimal use of platform capabilities and identify when custom code is truly necessary
  • Ensure solution quality through configuration reviews, code reviews when applicable, and automated testing
  • Collaborate with architects and functional consultants to implement comprehensive solutions using platform-first approaches
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers on both declarative and programmatic best practices
  • Contribute to technical decision-making regarding when to use point-and-click versus custom development
  • Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Implement solutions using declarative tools including Flows, Dyanmic Forms and Public Sector Solutions capabilities
  • Configure complex business processes using platform-native functionality before considering custom development
  • Develop custom code (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce) only when platform capabilities are insufficient
  • Execute complex business logic using declarative tools when possible, supplemented by code when necessary
  • Build and maintain integration solutions using platform tools and REST/SOAP APIs per design requirements
  • Conduct thorough configuration and code reviews to ensure adherence to platform best practices
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools for both metadata and code components
  • Implement comprehensive testing strategies including validation rules, process testing, unit tests when applicable
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across both declarative and programmatic solutions
  • Review architect designs and provide feedback on optimal platform utilization and implementation feasibility
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and technical discussions with development team
  • Create technical documentation covering both configuration steps and any custom development
  • Participate in client meetings to provide technical implementation insights and platform capability guidance
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years of Salesforce experience with strong emphasis on declarative development
  • Strong experience with Public Sector Solutions and understanding of its out-of-the-box capabilities
  • Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components when custom development is required
  • Strong experience with Salesforce integrations using platform tools and REST/SOAP APIs
  • Proficiency with development tools including Salesforce Setup, VS Code, Git, and Salesforce CLI
  • Experience with CI/CD processes covering both metadata and code deployments
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing rules, and data model
  • Strong preference for declarative solutions with ability to identify when custom code is truly necessary
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and platform limitations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills across both configuration and coding challenges
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain platform capabilities and provide feedback on technical designs
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively under guidance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification
  • Salesforce Public Sector Solutions certifications
  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and ES6+ features
  • Experience with middleware platforms like MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Industries solutions beyond Public Sector
  • Experience with performance optimization and large data volume considerations using platform tools
  • Knowledge of mobile development for Salesforce
  • Experience with Heroku or other cloud platforms
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and platform-first implementation strategies
  • Previous consulting experience with multiple client implementations, particularly in public sector
