Location: Austin- TX -Hybrid - (Remote -up to 80%)
Job Description Senior Business Analyst
- The Senior Business Analyst (BA) will to support the agency's mission to improve outcomes for Texas students, with a particular focus on the Early Childhood Integrated Data System project.
- The BA performs advanced business analysis and user experience design work, ensuring that end-user needs are met through thoughtful and research-driven solutions. This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering, analyzing, and validating requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team to elicit, analyze, and validate business requirements.
- Lead and coordinate requirements gathering sessions and design discussions.
- Conduct user experience (UX) research to support intuitive and accessible design solutions.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with TEA s design standards and industry best practices.
- Document and manage business and functional requirements, use cases, and user stories.
- Support testing, validation, and implementation of system features and enhancements
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle and participate in Agile/Scrum practices as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, project managers, developers, QA, and end users.
- Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst working on software development projects.
- Proven ability to gather and document detailed requirements from stakeholders.
- Experience with user-centered design and UX best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, BeaconGov provides reasonable range of compensation for this role.
