Python Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience and solid exposure to AWS to join a high-performing Front Office technology team. The successful candidate will work directly with Fixed Income traders on the trading floor, contributing to the design, development, and support of front office tools and analytics.
This is a hands-on development role in a fast-paced trading environment where your technical expertise and communication skills will directly impact trading outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Fixed Income traders to gather requirements and build real-time tools and applications that support trading strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient Python applications using modern OOP principles.
• Work with AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.) to build and deploy cloud-native solutions.
• Integrate market data feeds, pricing libraries, and analytics into trading applications.
• Support and enhance existing trading tools and analytics platforms.
• Maintain a high standard of code quality and documentation, and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly in a high-pressure environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Python development experience with strong OOP design skills.
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Previous experience working in investment banking, hedge funds, or other financial services environments.
• Proven ability to interact directly with front office personnel, ideally traders, portfolio managers, or quants.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Fixed Income products (bonds, credit, rates) or other financial instruments.
• Familiarity with market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
• Exposure to time-series databases and real-time data processing.
• Understanding of pricing models or risk analytics.
