Position: .net/C# Developer - Senior

Duration: 06 Months Contract
Location: Hybrid Austin, TX 3 x weekly

Job Description:

• Collaborate with architects and development leads and product owner to understand strategy and scope of software requirements (decompose narratives, design features, and prioritize tasks)
• Migrate legacy functions to future state platform working alongside development peers in an agile environment
• Strong team player: accountable to deliverables, contributing to the team, offering help when capacity frees up and providing insight on best practices
• Partner with scrum master and product owner to build development sizing estimates
• Utilize automated software test tools and frameworks to achieve the highest quality in software delivery
• Support integration efforts to build whole systems from various subsystems
• Identify technology risks early and establish mitigation plans

What you have

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors' degree in Computer Engineering OR related degree and/or practical experience
• Professional level .NET web and service development skills, built through 6 - 8 years of applicable experience developing in C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.Net, or other Microsoft based development tools
• Similar years experience in enhancing and troubleshooting data processing through scheduled batch jobs and queues (preferably RabbitMQ)
• Development experience in SQL stored procedures and CRUD operations
• Development using non-relational db's (preferably Mongodb)
• Experience developing/managing REST and SOAP-based Web Service API(s) in a transaction processing environment
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, containers, or other cloud platforms
• 3 - 5 years of experience developing front-end web applications using: , HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Backbone or other frameworks.
• Experience participating as a member of a scrum team in an agile environment
• Ability to solve complex environmental and data issues in production and non-production environments
• Ability to participate in coordinated application and platform architecture design sessions
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Effective relationship builder: ability to partner multi-functionally and work effectively with different levels and functions within an organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Financial industry knowledge, specifically in the retirement plan services domain
• Experience using test automation tools such as Selenium, Karma, Sparta, or other technical testing tools and frameworks
