Role Overview

The Global SAP Source-to-Pay (S2P) Functional Lead is responsible for driving the end-to-end design, integration, and deployment of SAP S2P capabilities across the combined enterprise. This includes leading functional governance, enabling process standardization, and ensuring seamless integration of the acquired organization’s Oracle-based procurement processes into the company’s SAP landscape. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, integration teams, and technical resources to deliver a unified, efficient, and compliant S2P operating model.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. S2P Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the global functional authority for the Source-to-Pay domain across Procurement, Supplier Management, Contracting, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable.
  • Define global S2P process templates and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
  • Lead fit-gap analysis between Oracle (acquired organization) and SAP (acquiring organization) processes.

2. M&A Integration

  • Develop and execute the S2P integration strategy for merging Oracle-based processes into the SAP ECC environment.
  • Assess functional impacts, process differences, and data alignment requirements between both ERP platforms.
  • Oversee system harmonization activities, including process standardization, data mapping, migration, and cutover.
  • Collaborate with change management and business process leads to align policies, controls, and workflows post-integration.

3. Project Leadership & Governance

  • Act as the primary S2P lead within the integration program, working closely with PMO, technical teams, and enterprise architects.
  • Manage functional workstreams, deliverables, testing strategy, and resource coordination.
  • Lead global workshops, design sessions, and decision-making forums with senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal control frameworks (SOX, procurement policies, audit standards).

4. Solution Design & Deployment

  • Lead design of SAP S2P functionality (MM, Coupa VIM, AP Automation tools as applicable).
  • Provide detailed functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on configuration and enhancements.
  • Oversee integration of third-party procurement tools, supplier portals, and invoice automation platforms.
  • Support user acceptance testing, training, documentation, and hypercare.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the trusted advisor to global Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, and regional business teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate clear communication across multi-regional teams.
  • Drive adoption of unified S2P processes and technologies post-merger.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in SAP S2P/MM/Procurement functional leadership roles.
  • Should have handled at least 2 E2E implementation projects as S2P/MM Lead
  • Proven experience supporting or leading ERP integration during mergers & acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of both SAP S2P modules (MM, Coupa) and Oracle Procurement modules (E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud).
  • Demonstrated experience with global template design, process harmonization, and ERP transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement and AP processes.
  • Experience with data migration (vendors, purchasing info records, contracts, invoices).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead workshops, drive decisions, and influence senior leaders.
  • Willing to work in a Onsite offshore model with business and IT teams in different time zones

Preferred

  • Experience in the chemical or manufacturing industry.
  • Exposure to Coupa, Ariba Network, VIM, or similar procurement/AP automation tools.
  • PMP or Agile/Scrum certification.
  • Experience with global rollout methodologies and multi-country deployments.
