Hi,
Position: HPE SimpliVity Administrator/Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months+
We are seeking a skilled HPE SimpliVity Administrator/Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize our hyperconverged infrastructure environment. The role involves working with virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure high availability and performance of IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and administer HPE SimpliVity Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI)
- Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter environments
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and health of SimpliVity clusters
- Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations using SimpliVity features
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, storage, and virtualization issues
- Apply firmware, patches, and upgrades for HPE SimpliVity systems
- Ensure high availability, data protection, and system security
- Work with networking teams on VLANs, IP addressing, and connectivity
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
- Coordinate with HPE support for issue resolution and maintenance
- Participate in system planning, upgrades, and capacity expansion
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with HPE SimpliVity (administration or support)
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)
- Understanding of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) concepts
- Experience with backup, replication, and disaster recovery
- Basic to intermediate networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, switches)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux server environments
- Ability to analyze and resolve performance and availability issues
Preferred Qualifications
- HPE certifications (e.g., HPE SimpliVity, HPE ASE)
- VMware certifications (VCP or higher)
- Experience with enterprise storage or data center operations
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash optional)
