Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Database Administrator in Hartford, Connecticut. This role primarily involves the maintenance and improvement of our Salesforce system and is expected to have occasional office visits. The successful candidate will join a team that is experiencing significant growth, and will have the opportunity to work in a modern office located in a well-landscaped park-like setting.
Responsibilities:
Administer the Salesforce database, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of data
Design and implement strategies for database management to support our growing business
Utilize your knowledge of EO/IR systems, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and R2 in managing our database
Ensure effective backup technologies are in place and functioning as expected
Manage the configuration of the database to optimize its performance
Handle the administration of the database, including managing user access, security, and system health
Design solutions to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our database operations
Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to understand their database needs and provide appropriate solutions
Continuously stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends to ensure our system remains current and efficient
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the database to ensure minimal disruption to our operations.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Database Administration
Proficiency in working with Database systems
Familiarity with EO/IR systems
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
Knowledge of R2 and Backup Technologies
Strong skills in Configuration Management
Demonstrated ability in Database Administration
Experience in Design and Implement Strategies
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
