Job Description
TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecommunications Technician to join our team in the Greater Nashville Area. This position offers a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent hire, along with a full benefits package.
? Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment
Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot network issues
Configure and program telecom devices and systems
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless connectivity
Provide technical support to end-users
Maintain accurate records of inventory and service activity
Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications a plus)
Proven experience in telecommunications or related field
Knowledge of routers, switches, cabling, and telecom systems
Familiarity with VoIP, PBX systems, and network protocols
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and in teams
Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies
