Job Title: Sr. Java - AWS Programmer

Location: Richmond, VA- (Hybrid)

Job Description

  • The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is seeking a Senior Java - AWS Programmer Analyst to support the Appeals Division. The selected candidate will play a critical role in documenting the design and technical architecture of the custom workflows within the Appeals application, which is built on MicroPact s entelli-trak platform and hosted in AWS.
  • This role requires a highly experienced professional capable of independently reviewing the existing system, identifying and documenting all customizations, interfaces, and configuration settings. The successful candidate will also analyze change requests and stories from JIRA, and produce comprehensive documentation using MS Office tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and document the existing entelli-trak application workflows and custom configurations.
  • Analyze and document interfaces and the current AWS-hosted environment.
  • Work with JIRA to analyze stories and change requests.
  • Use MS Word, Excel, and Visio to prepare technical and functional documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and communicate system functionality and enhancements.
  • Ensure proper documentation of authentication and authorization mechanisms (SSO).
  • Participate in occasional onsite meetings (1 2 per month) in Richmond, VA.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience configuring the entelli-trak platform.
  • 8+ years of Java programming experience.
  • 5+ years of experience using JIRA for managing and analyzing system changes.
  • 5+ years working with AWS cloud-hosted solutions.
  • Strong understanding of network concepts and SSO-based authentication/authorization.
  • Skilled in documentation using MS Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • Experience in documenting existing process automation workflows.
