Role Overview
 
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong pharmacy domain knowledge to analyze, interpret, and transform healthcare and pharmaceutical data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will work closely with pharmacy operations, clinical teams, regulatory stakeholders, and business leaders to improve medication safety, efficiency, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze large datasets related to prescriptions, drug utilization, sales, inventory, and patient outcomes
  • Develop dashboards and reports for drug performance, adherence, and safety trends
  • Identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities in pharmacy and medication data
  • Perform root-cause analysis on medication errors and operational inefficiencies
 
Pharmacy & Healthcare Analytics
  • Work with drug master data, NDC codes, ATC classifications, ICD codes
  • Analyze drug interactions, adverse events, and pharmacovigilance data
  • Support formulary management and medication usage optimization
  • Assist in compliance with regulatory and quality standards (FDA, EMA, HIPAA, etc.)
 
Data Management
  • Clean, validate, and standardize pharmacy and clinical datasets
  • Ensure data integrity across pharmacy systems (EHR, ERP, Pharmacy Management Systems)
  • Integrate data from multiple sources (claims, EMR, inventory, sales)
 
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with pharmacists, clinicians, supply chain, and business teams
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, business-friendly insights
  • Support decision-making with evidence-based analytics
 
Required Skills
  • 3–6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst (preferably in pharmacy or healthcare)
  • Experience working with healthcare or pharmaceutical datasets is mandatory
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, formulas)
  • Understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts
  • Pharmacy Domain Knowledge: -Solid understanding of: Drug lifecycle and classifications, Prescriptions and medication workflows, Pharmacy operations and inventory management, Drug safety and pharmacovigilance concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to interpret complex healthcare data accurately
  • Attention to detail and high data accuracy standards.
