SDLC Lead
Pay Rate: $65 - $70/hr W2 (All Incl)
Location: Remote, supporting EST and CST time zones
Duration: Contract 6 months with potential to extend
Overview:
- Client is looking to hire an SDLC Methodology Lead focused on defining, implementing, governing, and improving the organizations software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
- Strategic/process-oriented position that will build the playbooks for PMO and Delivery, work cross-functionality to combine Agile SAFE best practices with the operational processes to create the manuals to operate GTech.
- The candidate will implement the playbooks and ways of working across the organization, and adjust the playbooks post-implementation, as required.
Responsibilities:
- Process Management:
o Define, implement, and maintain SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) across projects.
o Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation & Governance:
o Develop and maintain SDLC documentation, including requirements, design, testing, and deployment artifacts.
o Conduct audits and reviews to ensure adherence to SDLC processes.
- Collaboration:
o Work closely with project managers, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of each SDLC phase.
o Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.
- Quality Assurance:
o Monitor and enforce quality gates at each stage of the SDLC.
o Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
- Training & Support:
o Provide guidance and training on SDLC best practices to teams.
o Act as a subject matter expert for SDLC-related queries.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an SDLC leader within a major organization
- Experience creating and writing an SDLC methodology for a large company
- Experience creating and maintaining SDLC playbooks and documentation
- Proficiency in various programming languages and tools and Agile/DevOps
- Understanding of application design principles, experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA or project management
- Experience with PowerPoint to create methodology documentation and artifacts
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, SRE, and other modern practices
- Experience with software testing, quality assurance, risk management, and defect management
- Excellent written & verbal communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
