We are looking for a dynamic Group Manager of Software Quality Engineering to lead our quality assurance and engineering teams for our Conversational and Generative AI product group. This role focuses on ensuring product reliability by driving quality improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to adhere to industry standards. The Group Manager will oversee the Quality and Testing Organization, including architecture, strategy, and operations, while managing a team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) to implement automation strategies across development, quality assurance, and DevOps.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in establishing automation frameworks using modern technologies. They should demonstrate servant leadership, effectively guiding team development and promoting excellence within the organization. This executive-facing role requires accountability for maintaining quality standards and best practices throughout the company, while also providing coaching and mentorship to foster team growth and technical problem-solving.
In This Position You Will Have the Following Responsibilities
- Lead the Quality and Testing Organization, ensuring robust architecture, strategic direction, and operational excellence.
- Manage and mentor a team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs), driving automation across development, QA, and DevOps functions.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with business
- objectives and regulatory standards.
- Architect and implement scalable QA frameworks supporting continuous integration and delivery.
- Spearhead automation strategies to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Continuously optimize QA processes for improved speed, scalability, and effectiveness.
- Champion servant leadership, fostering team growth and excellence.
- Act as a key interface with executives, upholding quality standards across the product group.
Qualifications
- You have 10+ years of software quality assurance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of architecture, protocols, and industry standards.
- Expertise in QA methodologies, automation tools like Selenium and Cypress, performance testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven leadership in managing QA teams and delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, SOC II, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and PSD2.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure in a QA context.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Quality assurance certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are preferred.
- Past experience with Conversational AI products testing is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Salary:
The base salary range for this position is $ 110,238 - $157,483, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
