A leading trading firm is looking to add a Senior Cloud Engineer to their Infrastructure & Platform Services team that's at the forefront of cloud innovation. This exciting opportunity involves onsite work in Downtown Chicago and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the firm's cloud implementation, strategy, and architecture design while working alongside some of the smartest and most driven individuals in the industry.
Join this vital team of Cloud Engineers playing a key role in architecting and managing the firm's public cloud environments. You'll partner with developers and internal stakeholders to provide world-class cloud solutions, develop self-service capabilities, and champion cloud adoption across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing large-scale, highly available services on public cloud (AWS preferred)
- Strong to Expert understanding of Kubernetes including cluster management, security, and Helm deployment at an enterprise level
- Expert knowledge of immutable infrastructure and provisioning tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)
- Expert understanding of AWS products: EC2, S3, ALB/NLB, VPC, Lambda, RDS, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, Batch, IAM, SQS, SNS
- Strong knowledge of automation scripting using Python and/or Bash
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL-based systems)
- Strong operational understanding of networking concepts and hybrid cloud integration
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
- Additional AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform resource specializations
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible)
- Public cloud architecture and strategy planning experience
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure management
- Experience with platform engineering practices
- Understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization
