Job Title: Telecommunications Engineer Automation & Spirent

Location: Onsite Westlake TX 3 days onsite Hybrid Relocation is fine.

Type: 6-Month Contract (with potential for extension)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Telecommunications Engineer with hands-on experience in Spirent test equipment and a strong background in automating regression testing using Python and Robot Framework. This is a fully remote, contract-based opportunity to contribute to high-impact testing and validation efforts within a collaborative engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated regression test suites for telecommunications systems.
  • Integrate and operate Spirent test equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure test coverage.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
  • Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks using Python and Robot Framework.
  • Document test plans, procedures, and results to support compliance and quality assurance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Spirent tools and test equipment (e.g., signal generators, spectrum analyzers).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Robot Framework.
  • Solid understanding of regression testing, test automation, and scripting best practices.
  • Familiarity with RF systems, network protocols, and telecommunications standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test integration tools.
  • Background in wireless communications, 5G, or network infrastructure testing.
