The Analytics Specialist / Sr Analytics Specialist, Variable Compensation and Data Strategy is part of the Variable Compensation and Data Strategy team within the People Division. This role is responsible for providing programming and analytical expertise to build and enhance solutions supporting Variable Compensation programs. This job will also lead data analysis and award calculation projects using a technology-first approach to Variable Compensation.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain analytical solutions to support Variable Compensation programs, including data visualization, reporting, and award calculation
  • Lead data analysis and award calculation projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality
  • Work with large datasets of wage and HR history and develop logic for determining award eligibility
  • Collaborate with HR Technology, Payroll and IT to obtain data, and transform data for analysis/calculation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs
  • Build analytical models to support compensation analyses and drive insights
  • Develop and maintain documentation of analytical solutions, including data sources, methodologies, and results
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, data science, business analytics) or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years of analytical work experience, such as business, mathematics, economics, or data visualization
  • 3 years of experience coding in SQL and Python
  • Experience with Data Visualization software (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Visualization, Applied Data Science or a related field
  • 5 years of work experience with data extraction, manipulation and analysis from relational databases
  • 5 years of experience coding in SQL and Python
  • Experience programming in Transact-SQL and Python data manipulation/analysis libraries (Pandas, Polars)
  • Experience with Compensation and incentive program analytics
  • Microsoft SQL Server / Azure SQL
  • Code editors (Visual Studio Code, Azure Data Studio) and AI-powered developer tools (GitHub Copilot)
  • Alteryx Designer
  • HR data and HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors)
  • Microsoft Power Automate / Power Apps or other automated workflow solutions
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript a plus
