Role Purpose:
This role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks across enterprise systems and applications. The individual will evaluate business strategies, research security standards, perform risk assessments, and conduct system security analyses. They will communicate findings and best practices with stakeholders, helping to align remediation timelines with organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with IT and business teams to define and improve security architecture for current and future applications.
- Assess the security posture of cloud and on-premises systems and conduct ongoing audits.
- Perform routine reviews of security controls such as firewall rules, intrusion prevention activity, web filtering, and data loss prevention.
- Review application proposals and ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to strengthen secure coding practices, SAST/DAST testing, and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Deliver security presentations and assessments to technical teams, business stakeholders, or leadership.
- Provide guidance on security-related issues across the organization.
- Microsoft or Linux systems administration.
- Network security administration, including firewalls, IPS, and related tools (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Barracuda, F5, Netskope).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Entra ID (Identity & Access Management).
- Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience integrating with product APIs using scripts or automation.
- Knowledge of container and Kubernetes security using platforms like Checkmarx, Aqua, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, PCI, or other regulatory guidelines.
- Bachelor s Degree, Technical School, or equivalent training in information systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or a related discipline.
