System Test Data Engineer
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Certification: SEC+
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or other STEM field from an accredited college.
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong Linux and Windows Server system administration skills
- Rudimentary coding skills to develop scripts to assist in automating data collection and management activities
- Basic troubleshooting skills and an ability to understand the software components running in a widely distributed, virtual environment
- Desired: Prior integration and test experience within the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program
- Desired: Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS) including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks
Experience Required:
- At least 5 years prior experience as a data manager or Linux systems administrator
- Self-starter with good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with the government customer as well as personnel internal and external to the program
- Linux and Windows environments
- Shell scripting, cron jobs, tools, automation
- Desired: Python, Java
- DoD 8570 IAT Level-II certification (e.g. Sec+) required
Responsibilities:
The System Test Data Manager is responsible for the collection, processing, delivery, and integrity of all test event data. Data is retrieved from testbeds and labs, as well as the operational environment.
The Data Manager is also responsible for:
- Handling real-world event (RWE) data requests
- Satisfying analysts' requests for 'truth' data
- Managing server and NAS disk space
- Archiving data per System Test processes
- Coordinating with FFRDC and Contractor analysts, Execution Leads, System Integrators, program leadership, and Government customer
- Generating data processing/delivery status reports
