Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer with proven expertise in managing, securing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and demonstrate the ability to design, implement, and maintain complex network environments while supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to Tier 1 3 network support requests, providing timely resolution to users and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clarity in issue resolution and project updates.
- Respond to all break/fix requests associated with network resources.
- Design and implement extensions or new connections to the enterprise/campus network.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain new/replacement network hardware and communication infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, proactively identifying and resolving faults, anomalies, and connectivity issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, architecture diagrams, inventory, and maintenance records.
- Track and document all network changes with detailed change history for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support ITS Field Maintenance teams with network implementation and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen security controls, defenses, and threat hunting activities.
- Manage workload effectively under time and resource constraints, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 5+ years of experience with Cisco Routing & Switching.
- 3 5+ years of experience with VLAN Management, Network Design, Access Control Lists, Subnetting.
- 3 5+ years of experience with Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.), and Authentication protocols (Radius, TACACS, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience with Cisco FMC/Firepower.
- 3+ years of experience with Network Monitoring, DNS/DHCP, Network Security, VPN, and Remote Access technologies.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise network security practices.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Wireless Technologies.
- Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or higher).
- Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks and compliance in enterprise environments.
